The BIP "SEE-ing a better world" promotes the exchange of student teachers from five European countries in the field of social entrepreneurship.
Social Entrepreneurship Education (SEE) aims to empower learners of all ages to contribute to sustainable development issues through social entrepreneurship. This Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) serves to network student teachers from different countries (Finland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Austria) in the field of Social Entrepreneurship Education (SEE). The following aspects are aimed at in the course of the networking programme: - Acquiring knowledge about SEE and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), - familiarisation with SEE practices in one's own country, - Exchange within an international framework and - planning and implementing a joint socio-educational activity for primary school children in the Netherlands.
The aim of this Erasmus+ BIP is to find solutions to the following realities: - Four universities (KPH Vienna/Krems, University of Oulu, Marnix Academie, Masaryk University) with different semester times are looking for common dates, - For economic reasons (travelling costs), it was not possible to recruit the same number of students from each of the home universities. - Virtual student exchange via existing platforms - there was a need for partial self-organisation (international teams) during the virtual phase.
It is envisaged that the following aspects will be implemented by the participants: - Online phase with synchronous and asynchronous elements, national and international small groups work on introductory topics. - Literature research on Social Entrepreneurship Education (SEE) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as interviews with social entrepreneurs. -Teachers supplement their complementary approaches to social entrepreneurship education. - During the attendance week: development of teaching elements for SEE, exchange of results in an international group and implementation in practice - Development of critical thinking skills - Developing the ability to visualise what Social Entrepreneurship Education is about by actively seeking and sharing good practice. - Designing and implementing a social pedagogical activity for primary school children in the Netherlands in a small international group - Research: online questionnaires before and after the face-to-face week Research diary during the presence week. - Participants act as ambassadors for SEE
Students: Awareness-raising on SEE and different school systems Teachers: In-depth understanding of SEE in different countries
A BIP is complex to organise and requires long-term planning, but is worth every effort.
